Carbon County Office of Emergency Management Volunteer Opportunities

VOLUNTEER

The Carbon County Office of Emergency Management continues to grow and the need for volunteers increases. The Office of Emergency Management (OEM) works in all five Mission Areas defined by the National Incident Management System (NIMS) as Prevention, Protection, Mitigation, Response, and Recovery. There are various volunteer opportunities across all Mission Areas. Lenny Layman, the Carbon County Emergency Manager, is working towards securing an on-going grant that will be used as an in-kind match for volunteer hours. What this means is that for every volunteer hour there will be a grant match of $28.54. These funds will then be used for on-going OEM expenses including, C4 (Carbon County Coordination Center) office supplies, specialty equipment, hospitality supplies, and any other approved equipment/supplies that support OEM and the volunteer workforce.

This is a very exciting time to get involved. Your volunteer time during these early stages will directly impact the creation and formation of the Carbon County Office of Emergency Management for decades to come.

If you are interested in volunteering please email the Office of Emergency Management. In your email please leave your name, phone number, and the best time to reach you. The Carbon County Emergency Manager will get back to you as soon as possible.
